We’ve admired Obus’ excellent use of colour and pattern for the longest time. When the opportunity to arose to help the local Melbourne business (with HQ in Northcote!) launch their new season, we jumped at the chance.
We worked closely with the Obus team, turning their multi coloured textile patterns into bronze letterpress printed multi coloured pyramids. Teaming up with Spicers for the paper – the pyramids were printed on eight different colours of Optix 200gsm: Copa Green, Reva Green, Zena Grey, Koda Caramel, Loma Buff, Kula Cream, Pati Ochre and Cadi Lilac.
The sheets were then forme cut into a modular, snap together pyramid design and assembled and installed over four days and at all four Obus locations across Melbourne. In the end we letterpress printed, cut and assembled over 2,000 triangles for the job!
